HOENDER IN DIE “AIR FRYER”
“Basting”sous:
500 g bruinsuiker
1 groot bottel All Gold tamatiesous
1 bottel Hasty Tasty sojasous
1 bottel rooiwyn
Meng bestanddele goed saam en kook vir 10 minute. Bottel warm.

BACON PIZZA
Topping for pizza:
1 Bag of Bacon chopped into pieces
2 Cups of my home made chakalaka tomato and onion chutney
1/2 Cup of Celery chopped
5 Mushrooms sliced
Lots of Cheese for on top of the pizza
Salt and Pepper to taste
Herbs and Spices to Taste

IMOGEN’S MICROWAVE OMELETTE
3 eggs
full cream milk
chopped onion
chopped tomato
chopped viennas
Whisked up the eggs and a half cup of full cream milk and added a dash of pepper only. I took a Pyrex dish, shallow, and coated it with melted butter and then added the egg mixture. I cooked it for about 5/6 minutes but checked every now and again and once or twice I “worked” the middle of the dish so as to let the raw egg get through.
In my electric frying pan I quickly fried the onions, viennas and tomato and VOILA…..
Tipped half the omelette onto the plate – dressed it and slid the other half on top of that! Cheese!!!…. and we are good to go! Boss is smiling – I am smiling!

SALMON MOUSSE APPETIZERS OR STARTERS
mayonnaise for greasing a mould of your choice. I use a rubber small muffin mould or egg holder.
Thin slices of salmon to line the mould
1 envelope unflavored gelatine 1/4 cup cold water and 1/2 cup boiling water, for gelatin
½ cup mayonnaise
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
1 tablespoon fresh lime juice
1 tablespoon grated onion
½ teaspoon paprika
1 teaspoon salt
2 cups poached or smoked salmon, flaked into small pieces
Dill to taste ( 4 little pieces)

MA SE BOONTJIESOP
My ma se ou resep:
1 pak gedroogte suikerboontjies, kook tot half sag in water sonder sout, voeg dan 3 wortels fyn gerasper en 2 aartappels by. Sit ‘n paar stukkies beesvleis in, kook tot die vleis en boontjies sag is, proe en pas sout en pepper aan na smaak. Kook nog rukkie tot sop lekker dik.

ZIPLOG SAKKIE OMELETTE
Ek het vanoggend besluit om omelette in ziplog sakkies te maak.
Ek het groen soetrissies, spinasie en salami fyn gesny.
Drie eiers per persoon geklits en bietjie van die vulsel by die geklitsde eier gevoeg met sout en peper na smaak. Voeg die mengsel in ziplog sakkies, plaas die sakkies in ‘n pot met kookwater, ek kon 3 sakkies in my pot pas.
Laat dit kook vir 13 minute en haal die sakkies uit die pot. Glip die omelette uit die sakkies op ‘n bord en geniet. Almal se borde is skoon en ek is happy.

Ons voorgereg vir die braai vanaand
500 g varkstertjies velletjies afgetrek
1 eetlepel heuning
1 eetlepel dijon mosterd
2 eetlepels woestersous
2 eetlepels soetrissiesous
2 eetlepels suurlemoensap
Bietjie olyfolie

ZEE SE KONKEL ROOSTERKOEKE
Jy kan jou eie roosterkoeke maak of hulle klaar koop en dan net die vulsel opsit en braai.
Roosterkoek:
250 g witbroodmeel
250 g koekmeel
10 ml sout
1 x 10 g-kitssuurdeeg
15 ml suiker
315 ml warm water
Meng die witbroodmeel, koekmeel, sout en suurdeeg in ‘n elektriese menger met ‘n deeghaak. Meng die suiker en warm water saam en voeg by die meel. Meng goed. Jy kan die mengsel ook met ‘n houtlepel aanmaak en dit op ‘n meelbestrooide oppervlak met jou hande knie tot elasties. Dit neem so 10 minute.
