NUTTY WHEAT RUSKS
6 x 250 ml( 840 gr) cake flour
750 ml( 450 gr) Nutty wheat
50 ml baking powder
10 ml bicarb of soda
10 ml salt
500 ml (400 gr ) sugar
500 gr butter or margarine
500 gr seeds or what you have like muesli or wheatbix
2 extra large eggs
500 ml buttermilk
10 ml vinegar
Sift dry ingredients and add nutty wheat, rub in butter and add seeds.
Beat buttermilk, sugar, vinegar and eggs.
Add to flour mix.
Press into prepared pans.
Bake at 180 ºC for 1 hour.
Dry in very cool oven till dried out.
Place a spoon in the door while drying out to allow air to circulate
