Serves 4
250ml double cream
100g crunchy peanut butter
3 tbsp muscovado sugar
100g Snickers or Black Cat Peanut butter bars
1 tbsp golden syrup
To serve
vanilla ice cream
Chuckles or Whispers, roughly crushed
1 Melt all the ingredients in a medium saucepan and simmer gently for 3 minutes, stirring constantly to avoid sticking.
2 Serve warm over vanilla ice cream and sprinkled with the Chuckles or Whispers.
Toffee sauce:
If you suffer from nut allergies, make a toffee sauce instead: simmer 250ml double cream, 50g muscovado sugar and 2 tbsp golden syrup for 2–3 minutes.
