IDEAS WITH SOYA MINCE

Any exciting recipes with Soya mince? Trying to come up with something exciting and so far have made Spaghetti bolognaise, cottage pie. Need other ideas with these packets of mutton flavoured soya mince. Thanks

Jaffels, mince and vetkoek and even bobotie. My son is a vegetarian and I have to be very creative.

You can even use it in soup for winter. Very tasty. We also incorporate tofu.

So I can make a normal veggie soup and add some of this soya?
Susan Van Dyk:
Yes. Just remember to first add the soya before you add spices. Soya is very salty.

Two cups of grated carrots
I cup whole corn
I cup flour
4 eggs
2 cups grated potatoes
1 onion, finely chopped
3 cups grated cheese
2 tablespoons baking powder
1 pack soya mince
Mix ingredients besides eggs and baking powder. Pour I cup warm water over ingredients, add eggs and mix well. Add the baking powder and mix again lightly. Heat oil in a pan and bake like patties. Voila our own patties!
