SHAN’S BEEF MINCE PIE
Ingredients:
2 pastry rolls
500g mince
Half cup oil
1 chopped onion
1 large carrot finely chopped
2 large potatoes diced (optional) I preboiled it
2 tablespoons bisto mixed in 1 cup cold water
2 tablespoons tomato paste mixed in half cup of water
1 egg beaten up
Pinch of salt
Ground black pepper
Method:
Fry onions in oil till golden brown
Add carrots fry for 3 minutes
Add diced boiled potatoes
Add mince and turn down heat to medium
Add tomato paste and bisto sauce
Simmer for 10 minutes
Add salt and pepper
Use an oven proof dish and spread it with butter
Layer 1 pastry roll at the bottom
Fill it with the mince filling
On top another pastry roll
Beat up 1 egg and spread all over the pastry
Bake for 20 to 30 minutes on 180 degrees
