HOW TO COOK OCTOPUS
You boil the octopus in a pot with boiling water, pinch of salt, 2xbayleaves whole, 2 x gloves of garlic, drop of olive oil and 1x whole onion …
Boil everything together for approximately an hour and a half … or until the onion is see through …
in the mean time you then make a fire …
Once the octopus is done boiling you transfer it to the fire and you braai it for abt 5 – 8 min…
take off the fire and cut In Strips and serve immediately…
sauce:
25ml of olive oil
10ml of vinegar
Garlic
Parsley
Mix the ingredients and pour over octopus when ready to serve
Hint: When you buy octopus it’s normally already cleaned …
what I do I just rinse it under the tap before I put in the boiling water …
PS: don’t pull the pink/purple skin off
