NADIA’S BUTTER CHICKEN
Take 1 kg of chicken breasts cut into cubes.
Chop one onion
Fry onion in a little oil with some curry leaves(not a must).
Slit 2 chillies in half and add to onions
Add 1 teaspoon of ginger and garlic to onions.let it simmer.
Put in your chicken cubes.
Let the chicken cubes cook until almost all the water has simmered away.
You then add 3 teaspoons of chilli powder (depending how hot you want it)
2 teaspoons of garam masala. (Taj mahal brand)
1 teaspoon of crushed chilli.
Mix in well . Add a pinch of salt..to your own taste.
Then you chop up 1 tomato finely into cubes and add to chicken.
Leave it to cook on low heat.
Once it seems like the tomato has cooked away you add 500 ml cream and a tablespoon of butter.
Put stove on very low 1/2.
Once oil has surfaced to the top the food is ready.
Serve with basmati rice and garnish with some fresh coriander.
I make 2 types of butter chicken.this one and one in the oven..but both are lovely..and sooo easy!!
