MAC-A-MINCE ALA ADRIAN
250 g short macaroni or penne
500 g minced meat
300 ml tomato sauce (real tomato sauce, not paste or puree)
1 large green pepper, chopped
250 g frozen mixed vegetables
100 g stoned green olives
4 thinly sliced garlic cloves
1 tablespoon oregano
salt to taste
grated cheddar cheese
Boil the macaroni in lots of salted water according to instructions and drain.
Lightly fry the peppers and garlic in a little oil in a saucepan.
Add the meat with the salt and oregano and brown it thoroughly.
Add the vegetables, olives, and tomato sauce and simmer for a few minutes.
Transfer the macaroni to the pan and mix with the content thereof.
Transfer the whole mixture to an oven proof dish and sprinkle with cheese.
Grill for a few minutes in the oven to melt the cheese. Serve warm.
