SAVOURY PRAWNS AND RICE
Prawns Make a paste of
crushed garlic
mayonnaise
lemon juice
Robertsons Garlic salt
Robertsons Fish spice
Mochachoes Chips spice
Nandos Peri peri sauce ( lemon and herb ) and
Nandos Peri peri sauce ( garlic )
and Chilli garlic sauce (any brand)
Marinate prawns for about half hour to one hour before frying. Fry prawns in garlic butter (I use Woolies garlic butter) and normal butter. Sorry I don’t have amounts for spices being used but just use about quarter to half tsp each of the dry spices because Robertsons spices are always salty , and use about 3 Tab mayonnaise and 2 Tab each of the sauces . When frying the prawns , I don’t allow the sauce to dry out as sometimes I don’t make a seperate lemon butter sauce.
Savoury Rice for Prawns
Boil Rice with 1/4 tsp turmeric and little salt till done or if u prefer slightly underdone. Drain. Leave aside. Saute sliced onions in Woolies garlic butter , leave aside. Boil mixed veg and add to onions , boil cubed green pepper ( if u want to cut in strips too its fine ) for a minute and also boil sliced mushrooms and add to sauteed onions. Now mix all into rice. Flavour rice with Aromat , Robertsons Rice Spice and Robertsons Garlic Salt .
