“YOUR TURN TO” CHOCOLATE CAKE
I can not remember where I got this recipe from but it is for sure a chocolate cake recipe ill from now on always turn to2 1/2 cups flour
2 cups sugar
1 cup butter milk
1 cup oil
1/2 cup cocoa
2 tsp baking powder
2 tsp bicarbonate of soda
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp vanilla essence
1 cup strong fresh brewed coffee
2 eggs1.pre heat over to 180C and line 2 9inch cake pans with baking paper , rub with butter lightly and flour .
2. Mix in a large bowl the butter milk , sugar , vanilla eggs , and oil.
3. Sift into this the flour , baking powder , bicarbonate of soda , salt and cocoa. Then mix
4 . In a slow stream down the side pour in the coffee while fold or mixing in .
( the batter will be runny )
5. Bake on the same shelf to ensure evenness for 30-40 or until a tooth pick can be inserted in the middle and comes out clean .
6. Allow cakes to cool in pans for 30 mins before turning them over on cooling tacks .
7. Allow them to cool completely before icing them .
( I uses a ganache that I made and wiped it slightly . I also cut each layer in half and iced each layer )
