1 Sheet puff pastry
1-2 Granny Smith apples, or apple of choice
Dash cinnamon mixed with 2-3 tablespoon brown sugar
Cut puff pastry in half. Lay on a flat baking tray. Preheat oven to 180° Wash and decore apple, or you can peel the apple. Cut apple in half, and slice thinly and as evenly as possible. Arrange 2 rows of apple slices on top of the puff pastry, leaving about 2cm space all around. Sprinkle cinnamon and sugar mix evenly on the apple slices. Bake in oven for about 25 minutes. The pastry should be nicely puffed up and brown, and apples soft. Take out and put aside to cool.
Caramel sauce
1 cup sugar 125 ml fullcream milk
On medium heat slowly melt sugar. DO NOT STIR Once melted, add milk and stir. Continue stirring till sugar caramelises (about 20 minutes) Let cool slightly. Brush caramel sauce over apple squares.
