WAFFLES WITH CAKE FLOUR
(recipe makes 9 squares)
With the REAL thing! Sunday night treat.
2 eggs (separated)
7,5 ml sugar
2,5 ml salt
500 ml cake flour
250 ml milk
10 ml baking powder
60 ml melted butter
2,5 ml vanilla essence
Sift the dry ingredients together. Add the beaten egg yolks and melted butter to the milk and mix with the dry ingredients. Whip the egg whites until stiff and fold into the flour mixture. Spoon about 2/3 of a cup onto the pre-heated (give it a light spray of oil) waffle grill and spread evenly.
Close the waffle maker and bake for 5 – 6 minutes.
