250 ml cake flour
10 ml baking powder
30 ml castor sugar
pinch of salt
200 ml milk
15 ml melted margarine
Sift the dry ingredients and beat the egg, milk and melted butter together and add to dry ingredients. Beat till smooth and allow to stand for 30 min.
Fry spoonfuls of the batter in a hot oiled pan or on a griddle.
Turn when bubbles appear on surface.
Serve with jam, butter, honey or grated cheese.
