MARISKA’S TOMATO NOODLES
Ingredients:
500 g Noodles (I use the screw shaped ones)
1 Onion (chopped)
1 Green Pepper (chopped)
1 cup Tomato Sauce
1 cup Sugar
1/2 cup Oil
1/2 cup Vinegar
1 table spoon medium curry
Instructions:
Cook noodles as per packet instructions and put aside to cool down.
In a medium sized pot, with a little oil, fry the chopped onions and green pepper. Just until the onions become see-through, not until they are brown.
Turn down the heat a little and add tomato sauce, oil and vinegar. And let it warm up.
Add sugar and curry, and keep mixing it regularly for about 5 minutes or so, or until you are happy that all the ingredients have mixed thoroughly.
Pour over the the noodles and mix it well. Let it cool sufficiently before putting it in the fridge. Once cooled, a lid can be put on top to stop it from drying out.
Serve straight from the fridge with your steak, tjoppie and braai broodjie.
