MUD CAKE (MODDERKOEK)

My dearest friend Gail gave me this recipe, she brought it from Australia.
250 g butter (must be butter not margarine)
150 g DARK chocolate chopped
1 ½ cups castor sugar
1 cup hot water
2 eggs
1 ½ cups mixed dried fruit (cake mix)
1/3 cup whisky
1 tablespoon instant coffee
1 ½ cups plain flour
¼ cup self raising flour
¼ cup cocoa

Mix butter, sugar, chocolate, water, whisky and coffee in a heat proof bowl, stir over hot water until chocolate is melted. Transfer into large bowl, mix in sifted flours and cocoa, then eggs and fruit. Pour into greased square baking tin. Bake at 180°C for about 30 min or until cooked.
