EDWINA’S SPLIT PEA SOUP
3 carrots shredded
1 large potato shredded
I large onion shredded
1/2 bunch of celery diced
Salt and pepper to season
Mixed herbs to season
Paprika to season
2 cups dried split peas
1 pork shank
6 cups water .
Mix all ingredients in slow cooker and cook on high for 5 to 6 hours
Blend half soup and add back
Shred meat off shank and add back discard skin
Enjoy with fresh bread
