YASMEEN’S MINI MILK TARTS
For the base:-
125 gram butter
½ cup of sugar
2 cups of sifted flour
2 teaspoons of baking powder
Cream butter and sugar.
Add egg and cream some more.
Finally add in the sifted flour and baking powder.
Roll out and use a doughnut cutter and cut out round shapes.
Thereafter place each one in a greased muffin pan.
Bake at 180ºC for 10 minutes.
For the topping
1/2 litre of milk for cooking
50 ml milk for making paste of corn flour and flour
1 teaspoon vanilla essence
1 egg beaten
1/4 cup flour
1/3 cup corn flour/ maizena
Make a paste with the 50 ml milk, corn flour and flour and leave aside.
Warm milk and vanilla essence but dont boil.
Add in the beaten egg and mix.
Finally add the flour and corn flour.
Use a tablespoon and top each tart.
Dust with cinnamon powder.
Let cool and refrigerate.
