POPPIE SE VRUGTEKOEK

1 kg festive cake mix
500 g real butter
1cup brown sugar
500 ml water
2 cups cake flour
1 tsp bicarbonate of soda
1tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp ginger
1/2 tsp all spice
3 eggs

Bring water butter sugar to the boil until the butte melts.
Add the cake mix bring to boil for a futher 15 min.
Let mixture cool down.
Add the spices and mix.
Add bicarbonate of soda and mix.
Add eggs and mix through.
Add sifted flour and fold into mixture.
Put mixture into a greased 22 cm cake tin.
Bake at 160 degrees for 1.5 hrs.
Add 1/2 cup brandy or tropical juce after the cake is cooled, to keep it moist
