MARTINS CHEESE MACARONI BAKE
1 packet macaroni cooked
In little oil fry
1 kg lean mince till brown
Then put in
1 diced carrot
2 diced potato
1 large onion
1 celery stick
Fry all till tender
Add 2 cans diced tomatoes
Mix well
Put in baking dishes
Make cheese sauce
Use butter, flour, milk, salt and pepper
Pour cheese sauce over the mix in the oven dish, put more grated cheese over. Never enough cheese.
Bake in oven 180ºC for 30 min till golden brown.

VINNIGE MACARONI EN KAAS (varsity kos)
500 g macaroni
6 eiers
¾ koppie melk
1 handvol grof gerasperde cheddar kaas
sout, braaivleis speserye en peper na smaak
1 ekstra koppie kaas vir bo-oor sprinkel

Kook macaroni tot gaar. Meng melk, eier, kaas, speserye, sout en peper eenkant lekker deur. Gooi eiermengsel by die gaar macaroni. Gooi dan die macaroni inhoud in ‘n gesmeerde oondskottel.
Bak vir 45 minute op 180 ºC of tot eiermengsel mooi gaar is.
Net so voor jy dit uit die oond uithaal kan jy kaas bo-oor sprinkel en dit net lekker laat smelt.
Jy kan ook skyfies dun rou uie tussen die macaroni indruk of selfs skywe tamatie bo-op pak net voor jy dit in die oond sit. Bedien met slaai.

MACARONI EN KAAS WAFELS MET MAALVLEIS
50 g botter
50 g meel
600 ml melk
sout en peper
1 koppie gerasperde kaas
750 g rou macaroni, gekook tot gaar

Smelt die botter. Voeg meel by en braai 1 minuut. Roer melk by en prut tot sous dik is. Roer kaas, sout en peper by, en dan gaar macaroni. Laat afkoel tot heeltemal koud. Skep in wafelpan en braai tot goudbruin. Bedien met maalvleis en kaas bo-oor.

MACARONI AND CHEESE WITH SMOKED CHEESE AND BACON GRILLERS
Mac and cheese with smoked cheese and bacon grillers. Total comfort food tonight.
2 cups of macaroni, cooked per instructions
1 packet of mini smoked cheese and bacon grillers
1 liter milk, made into medium thick white sauce
2 cups coarsely grated strong Cheddar cheese

Fry the grillers in little oil until brown around and cooked inside. Cut into smaller pieces.
Make the white sauce and stir 1 cup of cheese through the hot sauce.
Spray a 2 liter sized oven proof dish with spray and cook.
Drain the macaroni and stir the cheese sauce and pieces of grillers through.
Spoon into the dish, smooth the top and sprinkle the extra cup of cheese over.
Grill until the cheese melts and serve immediately.

VINNIGE MACARONI EN MAALVLEIS
500 g maalvleis
500 g rou macaroni
1 blikkie boerie relish
sout en knoffelpoeier
1 eetlepel maizena
½ koppie melk
kaas vir bo-oor

Braai maalvleis in kastrol tot gaar.
Voeg macaroni, klaar gekook volgens die aanwysing op die verpakking by.
Voeg boerie relish,  sout en bietjie knoffelpoeier by.
Laat prut.
Meng maizena en melk en voeg by,  dit gee dit ‘n lekker sousie.
Rasper kaas bo-oor en sit die deksel op. As kaas gesmelt is, kan jy eet.
Maklik alles in een kastrol en vinnig.

BOELIEBIEF PASTA
¾ pak pasta gekook
2 blikkies “bully beef”, in blokkies gesny
1 groot ui, fyngekap
4 knoffelhuisies, fyngekap
1 blik tamatie relish
1 pakkie koo tamatie paste
Italian kruie, droog
sout en peper
2 eetlepels blatjang
3 eetlepels suiker na smaak
2 geklitste eiers (opsioneel)
2 koppies melk
1 pakkie uiesop
genoeg gerasperder kaas

Braai uie tot ligbruin voeg knoffel by.
Meng die blatjang, tamatie relish, suiker en tamatie paste en kruie.
Voeg by uie en prut so 3 min.
Voeg die beef, sout en peper by. Roer deur en prut so 3 minute.
Voeg soppoeier en melk, goed gemeng, in mikrogolf, kook vir 2 minute, haal uit en klits, dan weer 1 minuut in, en klits weer tot dit medium dikte is, haal uit en laat koel bietjie af.
Klits die eiers en voeg by uiesous. Meng goed.
MOENIE EIERS BY TE WARM SOUS VOEG NIE.
Skep die pasta by die beef mengsel en roer deur.
Skep uit in oondvaste bak en strooi kaas bo-oor.
Bak in voorverhitte oond by 180ºC vir 25 min tot bruin.

HADDOCK PASTA

HADDOCK PASTA
3-4 pieces of haddock
600 ml milk
250 ml cream
3 tablespoons butter
1 teaspoon crushed garlic
fish spice
salt and pepper to taste
5 g parsley
300-500 g cooked macaroni or similar pasta

Heat milk, butter, garlic and spices in electric frying pan or pan.
Place fish into mixture and cook ± 7 min a side on low heat.
Remove fish when cooked and place on cutting board.
Flake the fish, removing skin pieces and bones.
Turn up heat on pan and add cream, cook until mixture starts to thicken.
Dish flaked fish back in to pan and mix through.
In a large bowl mix the pasta with haddock (and sauce).
Dish up warm and top with Parmesan cheese.

WEIGH LESS CHICKEN AND CHEESE MACARONI


WEIGH LESS CHICKEN AND CHEESE MACARONI
100 gr cooked macaroni
2 medium chopped tomatoes
10 chopped mushrooms
50 gr chopped raw onion
2 wisked eggs
100 gr chopped cooked chicken
40 gr grated cheddar cheese

Spray small casserole dish with cooking spray.
Mix together macaroni, chicken, onion, tomato and seasoning and place in dish.
Pour wisked eggs over and sprinkle with cheese.
Bake at 180°C until set and brown.
Per serving: 1 hi veg; 2 protein; 1 dairy; 1/4 med veg.

TUNA PASTA
¾ pak pasta, gekook en water afgegooi
4 blikkies tuna, vloeistof afgegooi
2 uie, fyngekap
½ groen soetrissie, fyngekap
1 liter witsous, tuisgemaak
1 eetlepel knoffel, fyngekap
pasta spice Ina Phaarman of Italian herbs
sout en peper
1 blikkie boerie tamatie relish of tamatie relish all gold
genoeg gerasperde kaas

Braai uie, knoffel, groen soetrissie tot sag.
Voeg die tuna by en meng deur.
Voeg speserye of Italian herbs by asook boere relish en meng deur.
Voeg nou die pasta by asook die witsous en meng deur.
Strooi die kaas bo-oor en bak in voorverhitte oond van 180ºC vir 25 min. Tot bruin.

TAGLIATELLE WITH BACON, MUSHROOMS AND CREAM LIME SAUCE


TAGLIATELLE WITH BACON, MUSHROOMS AND CREAM LIME SAUCE
400 gr tagliatelle, cooked as per packet instructions
250 gr bacon, chopped up
2 baby marrows, cut into thin rings
1 large onion, chopped
400 gr small white mushrooms, wiped off and cut into slices
large pinch each dried sage, basil and thyme
500 ml whipping cream (it’s thicker than normal fresh cream)
1 lime, zest and juiced

Fry the onion and bacon together until cooked, add the mushrooms and baby marrow and the dried herbs. Once the mushrooms and baby marrow is cooked add the cream, lime zest and juice and cook over high heat to reduce the sauce a bit. Drain the tagliatelle and pour straight into the sauce and gently stir to coat in the sauce. Check seasoning and add salt and pepper to taste.
Serve with lime wedges.
