KERSFEES VRUGTEKOEK MET RUM TRUFFELS
1 kg vrugtekoek mengsel
3x 180 gr donker sjokolade
80 ml rum
klapper en sjokolade vermivelli om in te rol .
Smeer 2 panne of spuit met Spray n Cook.

Krummel vrugtekoek en gooi rum oor , meng deur .

Mikrogolf gekapte sjokolade tot gesmelt , roer af en toe .

Voeg sjokolade by vrugtekoek mengsel en meng goed deur .

Skep eetlepelsvol van die mengsel in balletjies en rol in klapper , sjokolade , neute ens .

300 g donkersjokolade gekap
30 ml botter
180 ml dik room
15 ml koffie geursel
Conjac of ander geursel(opsioneel)ek het sommer sterk koffie gebruik
Donker onversoete kakao om in te rol, of vervang met klapper, neute, choc vermicilli of wat jy ook al wil.
Plaas sjokolade in ‘n hittebestandte glasbak. Plaas botter en room in ‘n kastrol en bring geleidelik tot kookpunt. Verwyder van hitte sodra die roommengsel begin borrel, roer geursel by.
Giet roommengsel oor sjokolade, laat dit vir ‘n paar minute staan tot die hitte van die mengsel die sjokolade laat smelt. Roer liggies totdat die sjokolade in die mengsel ingesmelt is en ‘n ganache vorm.
Plaas die ganache vir minstens 4 ure in yskas om te stol.
Vorm ‘n gladde bal(enigiets tussen die grootte van ‘n albaster en gholbal) en plaas dit in ‘n bakkie met jou bedekking.
Rol heen en weer totdat die truffel heeltemal bedek is.
Bere vir tot 2 weke in lugdigte houer in yskas.

TOMATO CHUTNEY

Ingredients:
1.5kg ripe tomatoes, washed, roughly chopped
400g brown onions, chopped
2 cups (500ml) apple cider vinegar
2 cups (440g) caster sugar
2 tsp brown mustard seeds
11/2 tsp black peppercorns
3 tsp salt

Method:

Place tomatoes, onions, vinegar, sugar, mustard seeds, peppercorns and salt in a large heavy-based non-aluminium saucepan. Stir over medium heat until sugar dissolves.
Increase heat to high and bring to the boil. Reduce heat to medium and simmer, uncovered, stirring occasionally, for 2-21/2 hrs until the excess liquid evaporates and the mixture is thick
Spoon the hot chutney into 4 or 5 x 1-cup sterilised jars. Seal immediately and stand upside down for 2 mins. Turn upright and cool. Label and date jars. Leave for at least 2 weeks to allow the flavours to develop. Store unopened jars in a cool, dark place away from direct sunlight for up to 2 months. Once opened, keep in the fridge for 4-6 weeks. Make sure to use a clean spoon each time you remove chutney from the jar to prevent mould from forming

450g Gesnipperde Dadels
¾ k Suiker
113g margarine
3 k Rice Krispies
1 Eier
Klapper om bolletjies in te rol

Smelt margarine en suiker, gooi geklitste eier by.
Sny dadels fyn en gooi in en laat sag stoom. As sag haal af van stoof en laat koud word.
Voeg Rice Krispies by en roer goed deurmekaar. Maak ronde , lang en vierkantige bolletjies. Rol in klapper.

Gaan na ‘n fabriek toe wat skoonmaakmiddels maak (baie goedkoper as om by bv Pick ‘n Pay te koop). Kry handwas middel. Gooi suiker 3/4 vol in ‘n glasflessie, vul op met handwas & meng. Viola, daar het jy ‘n lekker skropmiddel vir ouma se hande as sy klaar in die tuin gewerk het!

2 cups sugar
1 cup cocoa (not Dutch process)
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup chopped pecans
1 cup chocolate chips
Mix all the ingredients together and store in an airtight container.
Attach this to the Jar
Double-Fudge Brownies
1 cup butter or margarine, softened
4 eggs
1 package Double-Fudge Brownie Mix
Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F. Grease a 12 by 9 inch pan. In the large bowl of
an electric mixer, cream the butter. Add the eggs, one at a time, beating well
after each addition. Add the Double-Fudge Brownie Mix & continue to beat the
mixture until it is smooth. Spread the mixture into the greased pan, & bake for 40
to 50 minutes.

INGREDIENTS
3/4 cup salt
1/4 cup ground cayenne pepper
2 tablespoons ground white pepper
2 tablespoons ground black pepper
2 tablespoons paprika
2 tablespoons onion powder
2 tablespoons garlic powder

METHOD
While holding a pint canning jar at an angle, add ingredients to create a “sand art” look. The salt and cayenne may be divided into smaller portions and used to
separate other spices. I found it simplest to use 7 cups–one with each spice in it–and add them to my jar with a spoon, as I want to create the special look.

BASIC COOKIE MIX

 

BASIC COOKIE MIX
4 cups sifted all-purpose flour
4 cups white sugar
1 1/2 cups dry milk powder
1 1/2 tablespoons baking powder
1 1/2 teaspoons salt

Place all ingredients in a large bowl and mix well with a spoon. Sift mixture
twice. Store in a tightly covered container as it keeps well for several weeks at
room temperature.
