VERNON’S SNACK IDEAS
Wrap deveined and shelled prawns in bacon and serve on crispy toasted french bread topped with mashed avo and salsa.
Mix a tub of cottage cheese with mashed smoked mussels, a tablespoon of mayonnaise, a tablespoon of sweet chilli sauce and serve as a dip.
Make your favourite meatball mixture and wrap it around a pitted date.
Serve with a sauce of 1 onion, 1 green pepper and a red chilli fried together, add crushed garlic and a teaspoon of tumeric and mild curry powder. Fry until fragrant and soft, add a small tub of plain unflavoured yoghurt. Stir well and add 3 tablespoons water.

Note: Rina Kleinhans – Wrap dry pitted prunes in bacon, put a piece of pineapple on top, place on a toothpick and braai, once the bacon is ready, serve with a little sweet chilli sauce dripped over… it is devine 🙂
