ALL BRAN RUSKS
Oven 160°C
1 kg self raising flour or 7 cups of all purpose flour and 7 teaspoons of baking powder
750 ml Bran Flakes, crushed
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup sugar
500 g butter (baking type)
300 ml milk
3 large eggs
Sift together flour, baking powder and salt add sugar and bran flakes.
Mix in butter until mixture is like “bread crumbs”
Whisk milk and eggs, add to flour mixture.
Mix well.
Press into baking pans cut into pieces with sharp knife and bake for 45 min.
Once done, put onto drying rack and dry out in oven (50°C) over night.
Can’t remember where I got recipe. Although made adjustment from original recipe.
