SHEBA SAUCE
You will need:
2 onions, finely chopped
2 tablespoons butter or oil
3 cloves of garlic, crushed or finely chopped
2 cans (400g) chopped tomatoes (don’t drain) or 4 large, ripe tomatoes, finely chopped
1 capsicum / green pepper (optional)
¼ teaspoon sugar
Fresh chilli finely chopped or dried chilli flakes to taste (optional)
Salt and black pepper to taste
Method
Lightly brown the onion in butter or oil. Add all other ingredients and cook at a medium-high heat uncovered for about 10 minutes until the sauce thickens.
